Stay for the (Award-Winning!) Play
Sun ‘n Lake Golf Club is home to two championship golf courses—Deer Run and Turtle Run—which in 2008 and 2009 were named the best courses in Highlands County. Deer Run challenges players with one of only two island greens in Florida.
Besides 36 great holes, the Club offers the finest in practice facilities, pro shop, and relaxation. Our new state-of-the-art clubhouse, opening December 2009, definitely puts Sun ‘n Lake at the top of the leaderboard.
The Club courses, Pro Shop, and 19th Hole Lounge are open to the public. It’s no wonder that our spectacular fairways and facilities attract golfers from every corner of the country and introduce so many to the great game of golf.
The Courses
Every year, prestigious golf tournaments, both local and national, call Sun ‘n Lake Golf Club home. The entire Sebring community comes out for the competitions and events, welcoming enthusiastic golfers to our ambitious courses.
The par 72 Deer Run Golf Course, opened in 1976, is a classic Don Dyer-designed golf course, featuring long holes and obstacles to challenge even expert golfers. Many tournaments choose this longer course. The par 3 island green is an experience made for golfers’ tales (and, if they’re on their game, boasts).
The par 72 Turtle Run Golf Course, designed by Charles Ankrom, opened in 1999. Turtle Run tests a golfer's accuracy and ability with narrow landing zones, many moguls, and deep sand traps—not to mention challenging greens. Turtle Run is also distinctive for lying within a sanctuary for the protected Scrub Jay, a blue beauty found only in Florida’s rare scrub oak terrain.
